Trump’s JONESTOWN Vibes: Brainwash Tour Hits ABC

You know, every time I watch Donald Trump speak—whether it’s at a rally, on Truth Social, or, most recently, in his interview with ABC News—I get that same sinking feeling in my gut. And it’s not just political spin. It’s not even your average conservative dog-whistling.

It’s something darker. Something disturbingly familiar.
It feels like we’ve heard this kind of rhetoric before—because we have.

It sounds like Jonestown.

Now, let me be clear: I’m not saying Trump is Jim Jones. But if you strip away the surface—the different time, the different setting, the different stakes—and just listen to how he talks to his followers, you’ll notice the same cult playbook in full effect.

In his ABC News interview, Trump took credit for a booming economy while the market stumbled. That’s pure gaslight. Jones did the same in Guyana—telling starving followers they were in paradise. And when Trump posted to Truth Social saying “BE PATIENT,” and that the stock market was “Biden’s fault” not his? That’s not leadership. That’s control.

It’s the same tactic Jones used to keep people trapped and loyal until the end:

“Ignore what you see. Believe what I say.”

So, what are the actual behavioral patterns we’re seeing here? Let’s lay them out:

• Claiming exclusive truth:
  Only he knows the real facts; everyone else is lying.

  Constant fearmongering about “attacks” on him and his followers.

• Blaming others for consequences of his own actions:
  He wrecks the economy with tariffs, then blames Biden for the fallout.

• Demanding blind loyalty:
  You’re either all-in, or you’re a “traitor” or a “RINO.”

• Using fear and doom to control behavior:
  He warns of collapse, chaos, and war if he’s not in charge.

• Promising salvation through him alone:
  “Only I can fix it” — sound familiar?

• Encouraging suffering for the cause:
  “Be patient” as things get worse—because it’s all part of the “plan.”

• ALL CAPS and emotionally charged language:
  A digital bullhorn to trigger emotional loyalty.
