“Vladimir, STOP!”—Trump Goes WEAK on Russia

Trump’s Truth Social Plea to Putin Sparks Outrage, Memes, and Global Mockery Amid Kyiv Attacks

Alright folks, let’s talk about the latest international diplomacy—Trump style.

On April 24th, 2025, in the middle of a deadly Russian missile barrage on Kyiv that killed at least 12 and wounded nearly a hundred, Donald J. Trump—President of the United States—opened up his trusty little Truth Social app and let loose his newest masterpiece of foreign policy:

That’s it. That was the message. The leader of the free world responded to Russian war crimes with the same tone you’d use to scold your dog for peeing on the rug.

And if you’re wondering how the internet responded? Well—it lit him up like one of those Russian rockets over Kyiv.

Twitter had a field day. The memes were relentless. People mocked the post as a pathetic plea, not a demand. Someone even compared it to a line from The White Lotus—and yeah, it was that unserious. One Yahoo article even said Trump became “a worldwide object of ridicule.” And they're not wrong.

Remember when Trump said he’d end the war in Ukraine in 24 hours? This was supposed to be that moment, I guess. The big strategy: a five-word Truth Social post with the strength of a wet noodle. And what happened? Nothing. No response from the Kremlin. No de-escalation. Just more death and destruction.

And yet he wants us to believe he’s got Putin on a leash?

Meanwhile, critics online called it humiliating. Weak. Embarrassing. Some even said it was just a PR stunt to save face as his approval ratings crater and his foreign policy promises collapse under the weight of their own BS.

But here’s the kicker: this wasn’t just a gaffe. It was a window into who Trump really is—a guy who thinks the world runs on cable news clips and social media posts. He still believes governing is about going viral, not actually doing the job.

And what about his supporters? Truth Social is probably full of people calling him a “bold peacemaker” for typing in all caps. But the rest of the world sees what this really was: the foreign policy equivalent of yelling into the void.

Twelve people are dead in Kyiv. Thousands of soldiers are dying each week. And Donald Trump’s contribution to peace is... “Vladimir, STOP!”

Stop what, exactly? Stop making a fool of you?

Too late.
